WorldClock

 Windows Bitness

All WorldClock variants are fully compatible with Windows Vista, 7, 8, 8.1, 10, and 11. That said, the .Net version downloads below come in two varieties, one for 64-bit Windows and another for 32-bit Windows. If you don't know which version you're using, there's an easy way to find out:

  • Press Windows Key + R to open the Run dialog box
  • Type msinfo32 and press Enter
  • In the System Information window that opens, look for the "System Type" in the right pane
  • If it says "x64-based PC", then your Windows is 64-bit
  • If it says "x86-based PC", then your Windows is 32-bit
FYI the .Net setup programs below check which version of Windows you're running and will tell you if you've downloaded the wrong version. FWIW most computers today run the 64-bit version of Windows.

Note that the .Classic setup programs below only come in one variety, the 32-bit version. This is compatible with both 32-bit and 64-bit versions of Windows.

Useful Tip for WorldClock Screen Saver
When you're setting up your preferences for the screen saver, it gets more than a little tedious using the Windows screen saver applet. You click on Settings, change your settings, click Ok, click Preview, and repeat over and over until you finally have everything as you like. But if you elected to have the installer create the WorldClock(.Net) Screen Saver and WorldClock(.Net) Screen Saver Settings desktop shortcuts, you can use these to speed up this operation considerably.

First of all, go into the screen saver applet using the WorldClock(.Net) Screen Saver Settings shortcut and then click the Settings button; this will bring you to the screen saver's Preferences window. Now change any and all settings as you like and then click the Apply button. Do not click the Ok button as this will close the settings window; clicking the Apply button instead will save your new settings and keep you in the settings window. Now double-click on the other shortcut the installer created (WorldClock(.Net) Screen Saver) and this will run the screen saver using your new settings. Now just go back and forth between the settings window and the run screen saver shortcut until you're happy with your settings. This is much faster than repeatedly starting the Windows screen saver applet to get to the settings.
